Why it’s good to include this type of training in your regular schedule.
Do you consider Olympic lifts,e.g. snatch and clean and jerk to fall into the plyometric class?

Olympic lifting, although dynamic, would be considered explosive resistance, not plyometrics where the stretch/lengthening is utilized. The movement is under specific load.
