Theobroma cacao has been used by indigenous groups for thousands of years. I personally add it to my coffee every morning. I drink one coffee a day with Theobroma pure and mct oil. Here are a few benefits:
Antioxidants - Cocoa beans contain flavonoids and polyphenols which act as antioxidants to help neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress. This can lower risk for chronic diseases.
Improved heart health - Compounds in cocoa have been shown to help lower blood pressure, improve circulation and blood flow, lower LDL cholesterol, and reduce inflammation. This can benefit cardiovascular health.
Blood sugar regulation - Studies show cacao may help improve insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism, especially for those with diabetes. This helps regulate blood sugar levels.
Neuroprotective effects - The flavonoids in cocoa may improve blood flow in the brain and protect neurons. This could reduce risk of stroke and improve cognition.
Mood enhancement - Cocoa raises serotonin and endorphin levels which can elevate mood. Theobromine also provides gentle stimulation to the central nervous system.
Anti-cancer properties - Early research indicates the antioxidants in cacao may have anti-cancer and chemoprotective effects, inhibiting cancer cell growth. But more studies are needed.
Skin protection - Cocoa flavanols help improve skin hydration, thickness, and blood flow. This protects against sun damage and improves skin texture.
I use one heaping teaspoon per day. Moderation is key. Coffee is also very beneficial in many ways for the body but only in moderate amounts. I recommend the coffee, cocoa blend and drink it between 8-10:00am.
Happy to discuss further. #staygold
